Untangling the Conditioning: How We Can “Un-Brainwash” Ourselves? Mastery Newsletter April 20, 2016

We all have some programming/conditioning

 

How can we undo the conditioning and be free?

 

Wim Hof, the Iceman, has done it by training his body AND mind and gained control of his autonomic nervous system

 

He has trained others to do it. Researchers have confirmed this is a trainable skill

 

This means we may be able to overcome the modern dis-eases: cancer, diabetes, heart disease and others

 

 

 

Question: How does a person know if they are brainwashed?

 

Answer: BY DEFINITION, one cannot know. That is included in the definition of the word.

 

Therefore, the only safe assumption is that I am brainwashed.

 

Accepting this, what can I do to do undo the programming/conditioning I have been subjected to?

 

(Notice how it can be easier to accept if we use gentler words like “programming” and “conditioning?”)

 

I have been struggling/working with this challenge for years now.

 

Interim solutions have included tai chi, yoga, meditation, NLP or Neuro Linguistic Programming, EFT or Emotional Freedom Technique, Donna Eden’s energy work, various breathing techniques, Laughter Yoga, rebirthing and a host of other techniques, many of which I wrote about in my book The Zen of Joy, How to Rewire Your Brain for Happiness and Success. http://zenofjoy.com/

 

Wim Hof’s Iceman course is the latest and greatest.

 

Wim has shown it is possible to gain control of our autonomic nervous system. He has earned himself a chapter in the latest biology texts.

 

Not only can he withstand cold, hiking Everest in shorts and boots only and running a marathon in minus 20 degrees in shorts.

 

He also sat in a tub of ice for an hour and a half and his skin temperature remained the same.

 

Researchers in Holland, his home country, concluded he must be a one-off. So he trained 12 others and they were tested and were able to pull off the same control of their autonomic nervous systems.

 

Scientifically proven now that this is a trainable skill.

 

Wim says “We are going to win the greatest war ever…the war of the bacteria, viruses…”

 

What this means is we may have the potential to heal ourselves of the maladies and conditions of modern society: cancer, heart disease, diabetes and…fill in the blank with your most feared condition.

 

All the while having fun and living life more fully, enjoying it deeply.
