There is a super power lurking in your belly.


It is the “Inner Smile.”


You can access this super power just by smiling.


When you don’t feel like it…REALLY don’t feel like it…that is when you need this super power the most.


In those times, you can put a pencil between your teeth. That creates a smile.


Here is why:


A smile makes you feel good. A smile triggers the “feel good” hormones such as endorphins, dopamine, serotonin. These have been called “The Angels’ Cocktail. Think of smiling like a natural anti-depressant.


A smile relieves stress. The Angels Cocktail crowds out the stress hormones. It is a little known fact that cortisol and adrenaline cannot co-exist with the Feel Good Hormones.


Smiling Boosts Your Immune System. Researchers think immune function improves because you are more relaxed when smiling.



Smiling Lowers Your Blood Pressure. Probably for the same reason as for boosting the immune system. You are more relaxed.


Smiling Helps You Stay Positive. Try this test: Smile. Now try to think of something negative without losing the smile. It’s hard, isn’t it? Even when you paste on a smile, it still sends the message to your body and brain: “Life is Good!”


Stay away from depression, stress, and worry. Activate your super power: Smile!
