How are the resolutions for 2012 going so far?
Earlier to bed and earlier to rise are in mine. I don’t really make “New Year’s Resolutions” as a rule, as I have a quarterly “intention setting” session that works. But this year, this sort of bubbled up by itself as well as
CLEARING OUT CLUTTER.

So far, I have today cleaned out the priority files in my email and set up my intentions for this week. How great it feels.
Clearing out clutter from the home is on the front burner for this week.
Depression Enlightenment Project.
After a sad memorial for the 34 year old daughter of a friend, I have started noticing how much depression is a part of many peoples’ lives.
Former Canadian Federal Finance Minister Michael Wilson was on CBC Radio talking about how his son took his own life because of depression. Apparently, mental illness costs the Canadian economy $54 billion per year!
And little attention is being paid to the cause and cure of depression.
As many of you know, I am a Certified Laughter Yoga Teacher and it has created many benefits, including giving me back my reading eyesight.
Therefore, I am launching a
“Depression Enlightenment Project.”
This is a non-scientific experiment to see how much good we can do with Laughter Yoga and the other protocols such as Tai chi, qigong, meditation, EFT, yoga and so on.
Of one thing, you may be assured: we will probably not do any harm. And we may help.
If you know of anyone who is suffering from depression, lives in the Victoria area and wants to try some natural methods, please have them contact me.
One of our Laughter Yoga Leaders, Nita Ng, posted a story of an Australian fellow who had already had 2 bouts with cancer, when he was diagnosed a third time.
He decided to forego the chemo and radiation he had the first two times and instead chose to meditate twice a day and laugh every day as well. His cancer went away.
If laughter and meditation can do that, then perhaps we have a chance at making a dent in depression.
In this newsletter, you will find a link to a cancer documentary. One of the researchers contends that cancer is related to unresolved trauma.
I suspect there is an element of that in all dis-eases or conditions. AND there are protocols for that as well.

Whatever You Do, Do NOT Be Realistic!
"Don't limit yourself by trying to be "realistic." You don't know what "real" is. You don't know the limits of possibility.
When you are "realistic," you are shutting yourself away from the vast field of pure potential that lies waiting for you to make use of it.
The reality is that you are surrounded by a Universe vibrating in anticipation as it waits to serve and prosper you in every possible manner. The Universe wants only to aid you, give to you, and bring you joy. But the key is, and we have mentioned this before, you have to let it do so.
Being "realistic" (read pessimistic) slams the door on this creative and co-creative bounty that wants to flow your way. Open yourself, open your expectations. Every day brings new gifts your way, ready for you to unwrap and enjoy.
Start each day with an expectation of wonderful surprises, and be prepared to recognize them at every turn.
It's your life, let us help you celebrate it. But first, throw out your old teachings and beliefs about what is "real" and what is "possible." It's time to rewrite that rule book to a much more large scale and liberal one. Liberal as in, generous.
This is not the "Universe of the Tight-Fisted," it's the "Universe of Free-Flowing Blessings." As someone once observed, "You can't out-give God."
Put it to the test, Beloveds. You can only gain, in so many ways."
