Laughter Yoga is based on the concept that we can laugh for no reason.

 

We don’t need jokes, comedy or even a sense of humour.

 

Medical doctor Madan Kataria started this in 1995 after researching the science.

 

The science that shows there are health and medical benefits.

 

Life throws curve balls at us from time to time.

 

In fact, that is how the universe operates, according to Dr. Kataria.

 

Whenever a “negative” event happens, there is blessing that comes with it.

 

We may not see it right away.

 

Dr. K. puts it this way:

 

“In India we believe that there is always a balance of opposite energies in every part of our life and that there are ups and downs in daily existence.

 

In fact, I’m forever prepared for some shock here and there.

 

I’ve realized that this is how life intended to be.

 

Conflicting situations are a part of its intrinsic design.

 

But remember, there’s always a blessing in disguise.

 

We may be unaware of it and may feel betrayed but time proves the goodness hidden in it.

 

Perhaps this is nature’s way of give and take.”

Did you know that the quality of your breathing determines the quality of your life?

 

We all breathe. Turns out there is more to breathing. A lot more.

 

“Just Breathe: Mastering Breathwork for Success in Life, Love, Business, and Beyond” is the title of a book by Dan Brule.

 

A quick search reveals this:

 

“Dan Brule is recognized as the world’s foremost expert and renowned pioneer in the field of breathwork, leading the worldwide Spiritual Breathing movement.

 

 Brule served in the United States Navy as a medical deep-sea diver during the Vietnam era and completed his master’s degree in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

 

His book, which is hailed by Tony Robbins as the “definitive breathwork handbook,” provides tools to harness breath for reducing stress, increasing productivity, balancing health, and finding spiritual awakening.”

 

  1. I am a Tony Robbins fan. His books, courses and videos have done a lot for me. So, I am paying attention now.

 

Some gems from the book:

 

“…how often, how fast, and how much you inflate your lungs directly affects your brain and how it operates.’

 

Conscious breathing can help deal with post traumatic stress disorder, anxiety and many other conditions.

 

Just five minutes of slow paced breathing can support the heart and improve stress resilience.

 

“…by far the quickest and most effective way to guarantee heart coherence is through Conscious Breathing. Heart coherence is at its maximum when a resonant frequency of four and a half respiratory cycles per minute is attained.”

 

“Heart coherence refers to the continuous fluctuations in the heart rate…it is associated with…a feeling of inner balance and centeredness — alert yet relaxed, energized yet calm.”

 

“Studies show measurable benefits with just five minutes of paced breathing at a rate of six breaths per minute, three times per day. You can reduce heart rate, blood pressure, and cortisol levels (that’s the stress hormone) by up to 20%!”

 

“There is a catch: your breathing practice is only effective when it becomes a daily ritual, like showering or brushing your teeth.”

 

“BREATHE NOW: HEART RATE VARIABILITY PRACTICE

Three time per day

Six breaths per minute

Five minutes duration

 

Knocking stress on the head.

 

Fifteen minutes a day.

 

I like easy things. This seems right up my alley.

Everyone wants to “raise their frequency” these days, like it’s a fucking Spotify playlist you can just vibe your way into.

 

Slap on a crystal, say “I release what no longer serves me,” and boom, you’re suddenly vibrating like a tantric dolphin on ayahuasca.

 

But here’s the thing no one posts on Facebook or Instagram: Raising your frequency isn’t pretty.

 

It’s not all white linen and cacao ceremonies.

 

It’s sobbing on your bathroom floor at 3am with a nervous system that’s fried and a mind that won’t shut the fuck up.

 

You want to go higher?…

 

Cool.

 

You’ve gotta go deeper first.

 

Right into the grime, the grief, and the total fucking honesty you’ve been avoiding since you were twelve.

 

So, following on from my previous post ‘WHAT IF YOUR LIFE LOOKS GOOD… BUT FEELS DEAD INSIDE?’

 

Here’s some practical tips you may find helpful…

 

  1. Conscious Breathwork

 

Do you want to feel like a God or just hyperventilate like a Victorian child having a fainting spell?

 

Because breathwork is both.

 

Eleven minutes a day of deep, conscious breathing can get you high, humbled, and halfway to a mystical experience, assuming you don’t tap out before minute five wondering if you left the fucking stove on.

 

It’s free. It’s primal. It’s available right now.

 

Or of course, if you’d rather pay $90 for some Peruvian dude on YouTube to “activate our DNA” with breath patterns you could’ve Googled.

 

Just. Fucking. Breathe.

 

  1. Meditation

 

Yes, sit your arse down, cross your legs (or don’t), and try not to fantasise about lunch.

 

Throw in some 432Hz binaural beats if you need a soundtrack.

 

But the fastest way to raise your frequency through meditation is not to try to raise your frequency.

 

Just sit there.

 

Let your mind be the chaotic disco it is.

 

Eventually, something quiet shows up. That’s you.

 

Not your grocery list. Not your future TED Talk. You.

 

  1. Fasting (Optional Sadomasochism)

 

If you want to feel closer to meeting God, skip breakfast.

By hour 16 you’ll be so empty and lightheaded, you’ll either meet the Divine or headbutt the fucking fridge crying.

 

But let’s not get righteous here.

 

Fasting isn’t magic, it’s clarity bought through temporary self-deprivation.

 

Seriously, skip the smugness. Just try it.

 

If you get hangry and scream at the cat, maybe don’t do it on workdays.

 

  1. Heart Coherence

 

This sounds like a TEDx wet dream, but it works.

 

Close your eyes. Think about something you love. Really love. Your dog. Your kid. That time he looked at you like you mattered.

 

Then breathe into that space like your life depends on it, because maybe it does.

 

The heart isn’t just a pump. It’s a tuning fork for your humanity.

 

You want a higher frequency? … Feel everything, then let it melt in your chest.

 

  1. Ecstatic Movement

 

You haven’t lived until you’ve ugly-danced in your kitchen at 6am with a face like a deranged prophet.

 

Move your body like it owes you nothing and you’ll find your trauma hiding in your hips.

 

Yes, it’s cringey at first. Yes, you’ll look like a goat on acid being tasered. Do it anyway.

 

You’ll come out lighter, looser, alive.

 

Shake the shit out of your cells.

 

  1. Face Your Shadows

 

This one isn’t sexy.

 

It’s you, a notebook, and the part of you that never healed from age six.

 

It’s journaling the stuff you don’t want your therapist to read.

 

It’s calling yourself out on the lies you tell in relationships, in arguments, in silence.

 

This is frequency work for grown-ups.

 

Do it with a pen, or do it with your life on repeat. Your choice.

 

  1. Connect with Nature

 

Go barefoot. Touch a tree.

 

Yes, it feels weird at first, especially if you’re ‘cultured’ and trained to avoid public displays of dirtiness …

 

But five minutes with your feet on the ground will do more for your nervous system than another mindfulness app asking you to breathe like a sea turtle.

 

Nature doesn’t care how spiritual you are. It already vibrates high.

 

Go plug yourself in.

 

  1. Speak Your Truth

 

Warning: speaking your truth may result in endings.

 

But nothing tanks your frequency like being liked for someone you’re not.

 

Say the thing. Ask the awkward question. Admit what you really want.

 

Authenticity is terrifying.

 

It’s also liberation.

 

  1. Treat Everything as Sacred

 

You don’t need to move to Bali to be spiritual.

 

Try washing your mug like it’s holy.

 

Take a shit with reverence.

 

Light a candle and mean it.

 

Sacredness isn’t ceremony, it’s attention.

 

Start there. Enlightenment optional.

 

  1. Listen to Your Soul

 

It’s quiet.

 

Which is why you keep missing it.

 

It’s not in your scroll.

 

It’s not in your ten-step plan.

 

It’s in the stillness between your distractions.

 

Stop. Listen. Breathe.

 

There it is.

 

  1. ECSTATIC EXPRESSION (a.k.a. Scream Therapy for the Spiritually Constipated)

 

Sometimes the fastest way to raise your frequency is to fucking lose it, consciously.

 

Scream into a pillow.

 

Roar into the void.

 

Howl like a fucking banshee who just found out Mercury is in retrograde again.

 

It’s not drama.

 

It’s detox.

 

You’ve got 30 years of swallowed pain living in your throat chakra like unpaid rent – tell it to fuck off.

 

Cry. Wail. Break plates (safely).

 

Do whatever it takes to stop being a well-behaved zombie waiting for enlightenment.

 

Your voice is a weapon.

 

Use it to reclaim your goddamn life.

 

12.LAUGH LIKE A FUCKING LUNATIC

 

No, really – fucking laugh.

 

Not the polite chuckle you use to survive awkward dinner parties.

 

I mean snort-laugh, ugly-laugh, tears-down-your-face-until-you-can’t-breathe kind of laugh.

 

Because if your healing doesn’t include laughter, it’s just another fucking trauma ceremony in beige yoga pants.

 

Laughter is frequency alchemy.

 

It’s your nervous system saying, “Okay, I can breathe again.”

 

It unhooks the shame. It softens the rage.

 

It reminds you that even in the middle of your messy awakening,

 

you’re still hilariously, gloriously, stupidly human.

 

Watch a dumb video. Laugh at yourself.

 

Giggle mid-breakdown.

 

Make peace with the absurdity of it all.

 

Because if you can laugh and cry in the same hour, you’re not just raising your frequency… you’re fucking surfing it

 

FINAL WORD

 

Raising your frequency isn’t a vibe.

 

It’s a reckoning.

 

It’s burning the illusion that healing is cute.

 

It’s choosing presence over performance.

 

Truth over trends.

 

Love over likability.

 

So if you want to raise your frequency?

 

Stop faking peace.

 

Start embodying truth.

 

Then dance like you’ve been possessed by a funk demon, journal like your soul’s about to explode, and scream until your ancestors applaud from the astral plane.

You know the story.

 

When oxygen masks come down during your flight, what did the flight attendant tell you to do?

 

PUT YOUR OWN MASK ON FIRST…before helping your child with theirs.

 

Why?

 

Because in trying to help your child or your partner or anyone else, YOU MAY PASS OUT FOR LACK OF OXYGEN.

 

What good are you to anybody then?

 

Zero, nada, nothing…you made yourself useless.

 

By trying help others first.

 

In order to be of any use to anyone else, we have to take care of ourselves first.

 

There is no way around this basic law of nature.

 

You really do have to take care of yourself first before you can be of any use to anyone else.

 

The impulse to help others is noble and worthy.

 

But you have to have energy to be able to help anyone.

 

Energy that comes from self care. Nurturing yourself.

 

With energy and health, you can show up as a better, more competent you.

As the great (and successful) comedienne Lucille Ball said: “Love yourself first and all else falls into line. You really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world.”

Nature as Healer Mastery Newsletter April 15, 2025

Do you go to the doctor to get healed?

 

Or do you go to Nature?

 

In other words, what is your underlying belief about where true healing comes from?

 

Just as importantly, what is your action when “push comes to shove?”

 

We lived on a lake. My childhood dream realized. There was a hot tub and a dock. I would jump into the lake after the hot tub and relish the experience.

 

One time I jumped and came up with a cut toe. I had grazed a rusty barrel at the bottom of the lake.

 

The veins were dark above my left ankle and the darkness was moving up my leg.

 

My doctor prescribed an antibiotic as this kind of infection can take your leg and your life.

 

Having taken a herbal course, I opted to the herb goldenseal instead.

 

Goldenseal has the quality of an antibiotic.

 

The following days caused my wife concern. She was urging me to take the doctor prescribed antibiotic. The veins continued to get darker. I was able to stay the course and just take the goldenseal.

 

It worked.

 

My veins healed and the infection healed.

 

While my wife was “reading me the riot act,” I had misgivings internally though putting on a brave face.

 

I chose to trust Nature…even though, at times, I was shaking like a leaf inside.

 

The experience has cemented my belief that Nature is the ultimate healer.

 

It also caused me to reflect how deep the belief (programming) is in our modern society. The belief that the medical system, as personified in the doctor, is where we go to get healed.

 

That the modern advances in medicine are the ultimate authority.

 

That herbs, diet, vitamins, meditation, yoga, affirmations and the rest are all fine and dandy. But when it gets serious, when we are up against the wall, we go to the doctor.

 

The modern medical system performs miracles. I thank God for the system for saving my eyesight with cataract surgery and keeping Wet Macular Degeneration at bay.

 

Without the advances in modern medicine, I would be blind.

 

I do not and cannot belittle modern medicine.

 

That said, I view it as a set of tools. Used appropriately, miracles can unfold. In my case, the miracle of eyesight retained.

 

There are lots of examples of healing from what the medical system classifies as incurable diseases.

 

I had occasion to interview the “father of modern herbology” John Christopher. He wrote the textbook for my herbal course.

He told me there are no incurable diseases, only incurable people.

 

This brings us to the question:

 

The conditions I have are so serious, can I reasonably   believe they can be healed?

 

Why should I undertake the exercise of listing the conditions I have and making a plan to heal them? After all, the doctor told me (fill in the blank)___________ can’t be healed.

 

Diabetes, thyroid malfunction, stage 4 cancer, etc.

 

I wonder if the question really is: “Can I change my belief that Nature can heal all?”

 

If John Christopher is right, can I change from being an incurable person to one who believes all conditions can be healed?

 

And to make that change, does it take the willingness to change beliefs?

Feeling overwhelmed? A little? Or a lot?

 

We know health is the greatest wealth.

 

Without health, we struggle to get things done.

 

We don’t enjoy life fully.

 

The challenge is if we have low energy, it’s a challenge to work on getting healthier.

 

Here is a template I created to turn that around.

 

First, it takes willingness. Without it, all is lost.

 

With willingness, we can start to focus and get energized to improve.

 

Tony Robbins is the most well-known character in the self development field.

 

He tells us that to get to our goal whatever it may be, it is critical to get clear on where we are now.

 

This is the next step.

 

Step 1. The Bitter Pill: Where am I now?

 

Apply this to health.

 

What are the conditions/dis-eases that most challenge you right now?

 

Take the time you need to be totally honest and candid with yourself.

 

List them.

 

Here are some of the challenges someone I know faces right now:

Wet Macular Degeneration (AMD)

Itchy skin

Toe nail fungus

Getting up to pee at night…2-3 times

Not the highest quality sleep

Slow digestion

Underweight

Bags under the eyes

Red eyes

Phlegm

Low testosterone

 

Get the idea?

 

Sit down now and make that list. You may need to add to it later. Sometimes we get so used to our most persistent conditions, we don’t even think to put them down.

 

Once I wrote the list I remembered other conditions.

 

After effects of Bell’s Palsy. Poor hearing. Ileocecal valve acting up. Pressure in the descending colon. Sensation though not pain in the area of the liver/gall bladder. High iGE number indicating possible allergy of some sort.

 

All that is just so you have an example of how it works.

 

So get clear on where you are now.

 

 

Step 2. What do I Think Will Happen if I Don’t Make Any Changes?

 

We are sometimes told not to focus on the negative.

 

Here is a time when a laser focus on the negatives i.e. the conditions we have can be useful.

 

Not only useful, it can light a fire under the butt to get going and make the changes needed.

 

Changes that may seem hard, unusual, challenging, impossible even.

 

This is not focusing on the negative as much as getting real and being honest with ourselves.

^^^^^^^^^^^^

 

For the AMD, I will have to continue to have a syringe inserted into my eyeball every few weeks. Pretty strong motivation for taking action.

 

Itchy skin gets worse possibly painful. Symptom of cellular malfunction. Low voltage & energy means any disease can take hold. Cancer, diabetes, heart conditions, MS…anything.

 

Fungus and H. Pylori can grow and become cancer.

 

Getting up every hour (I have had that!) leading to compromised immune function.

 

Slower digestion leading to backup of toxins recirculating in the body leading to overloaded immune system leading to dis-ease.

 

Low libido & low testosterone means lower energy.

 

Less enjoyment of life. Unable to help others which is a great joy for me. Becoming a couch potato and eventually a zombie. Yuk.

 

Pains in other areas of the body showing up and increasing leading to a lower quality of life. Unable to fully engage with others and with life.

Getting the idea? Truly feeling the pain of where you are. And the pain of where you may be in the future is you don’t make changes.

 

Step 3. What is My Goal?

 

Just for an example, here are my goals:

 

High energy and voltage in the body.

 

A fully functioning immune system able to deal with the attacks and onslaughts.

 

Joy, energy & health. Vibrant and healthy body, mind and spirit.

 

Able to fully engage with others and with life.

 

Loving myself fully and loving others deeply. Serving others, giving freely. Able to make a difference in the lives of others.

 

Because of the high energy, I am able to have much more income than the expenses and luxuries my partner and I have.

 

Able to respond positively to the challenges life throws at me.

 

Able to overcome any and all challenges.

 

A full spiritual life & able to help my ancestors release their issues.

That’s it: a simple three-part formula to get healthier.

 

Simple though perhaps not so easy at the start.

 

The good news?

 

It is do-able.

 

The better news?

 

You have support if you look for it and accept it.

 

The best news?

 

A joyful, truly fulfilled life is yours when you show up.

 

When you show up with willingness.

 

When you take the steps. One step at a time.

 

And when you persist.

 

Willingness. Action. Persistence.

 

Why does this feel as if I am talking to myself?

 

I am on the same journey as you.

 

We all want better health.

 

Here is the first three steps to achieving that.

Pain as Teacher Mastery Newsletter March 10, 2025

I am washing dishes as our guests are still at table.

 

My wife asks me to go downstairs to get a bottle of bubbly to celebrate a win. One of our guests is just closing on her home sale.

 

My response: “I’m washing up.”

 

Instead of getting the bottle.

 

Almost immediately my left ankle starts playing up. I have to hobble the rest of the night and even this morning.

 

All fine and good. The bottle is brought up. We celebrate. But…

 

It takes longer than usual to get to sleep. 5 hours later, I wake, still tired, but can’t get back to sleep.

 

In this state, I am paying attention to my intuition.

 

I feel shame, a deep well of shame.

 

Why did I not demonstrate my love by getting the bottle of bubbly when asked?

 

When I love another, I really love myself. We are all one after all.

 

What causes me not to love myself?

 

Earlier we had talked about how self-hatred is woven into the programming we receive in our society.

 

Could this be it?

 

And, could it be that the Universe is showing me the pain of not loving myself? By giving me pain when I don’t love myself by loving another?

 

I had to get up, do my ten minutes of Laughter Yoga. Prepare my warm milk with nutmeg. The same recipe my mother used to get back to sleep.

 

In the morning, I ask forgiveness. Mostly I ask myself to forgive me!

 

The pain shows me how important self-love is. And how important to undo the self-hatred programming.

 

Loving myself by loving others.

What I am studying at the moment.

 

“YOUR GUIDE TO CELLULAR HEALTH” by Dr. Joseph Mercola.

 

In the book Dr. Mercola relates how he had itchy skin.

 

It too him 15 years to figure out the culprit.

 

Guess what it was…

 

Oxalates.

 

He is talking to me as I have developed itchy skin and could not identify the cause.

 

Now I am avoiding foods high in oxalate as I undertake to heal the damage at the cellular level. (List of the culprit foods at the end)

 

The mitochondria inside our cells can be thought of as the spark plugs providing the energy for our lives.

 

When they are not firing as they should all kinds of conditions can result. Itchy skin is just one.

 

Avoiding oxalate sources is just a short term “band aid” solution.

 

My notes on this:

 

Mineral citrates like magnesium, potassium and calcium bind to oxalates. Kidneys are responsible for most oxalate removal and skin as well. Oxalate dermatitis is itchy skin from too much oxalate build up. Oxalate crystals trigger an inflammatory response in the skin, similar to uric acid or calcium oxalate kidney stones. Apply the citrates to the skin for relief.

 

The real culprit: a decrease in cellular energy. This harms the microbiome. Restore your microbiome and cellular energy gives your body the fuel it needs to fight disease. Mercola now needs only 5 hours a night to be rested. He also grew one inch in height!

 

Not to mention, that at age 69, he deadlifted 400 pounds…4 times.

 

I pay attention to results. Those seem like great results to me.

Here is a list of high oxalate foods…in case you have itchy skin:

 

1. Spinach

Leafy greens like spinach contain many vitamins and minerals, but they’re also high in oxalates. A half-cup of cooked spinach contains 755 milligrams.

2. Soy products

Products made from soybeans are excellent sources of protein and other nutrients, especially for people on a plant-based diet. But they are also high in oxalates. A 3-ounce serving of firm tofu has 235 milligrams, while 1 cup of soy milk or yogurt can have up to 336 milligrams per serving. 

3. Almonds 

Almonds are a concentrated source of vitamins and minerals, yet they are also high in oxalates. One ounce of almonds, or about 22 nuts, contains 122 milligrams of oxalates.

4. Potatoes

A medium baked potato has 97 milligrams of oxalates. Much of this content is in the potato’s skin, which also contains high levels of nutrients like fiber, vitamin C, and B vitamins. 

5. Beets

Beets are an excellent source of nutrients like folate and manganese. At 152 milligrams per cup, they’re also one of the vegetables highest in oxalates. 

6. Navy beans

Legumes are a great way to add protein, fiber, and other nutrients to any meal. But if you’re managing your oxalate levels, navy beans are on the high end with 76 milligrams per half-cup.

7. Raspberries

Many fruits contain some oxalates, like avocados, oranges, and grapefruit, but raspberries are considered a high-oxalate food with 48 milligrams per cup.

8. Dates

Dates are highly nutritious dried fruits often used as a sweetener in cooking and baking. Date are high in sugar as well as oxalates, with one date containing 24 milligrams

Smiling: A Work in Progress Mastery Newsletter February 27, 2025

If smiling is so good for me, why don’t I do it all the time?

 

Smile first thing in the morning to “win your day.”

 

Smile last thing before sleep to “win your night.” To have pleasant dreams. To reprogram the subconscious with positivity…

 

Why am I not smiling all day long?

 

After all, it produces the fell-good hormones like endorphins, oxytocin, dopamine and serotonin.

 

The answer?

 

It’s bloody hard work.

 

So many distractions.

 

So many opportunities to allow stress to take hold.

 

What can I do about this?

 

Gaia TV streaming channel may have an answer.

 

I am watching their series on Heart Math.

 

Simple deeper breathing while focused on the heart.

 

Tried it. Makes it easier to smile.

 

Ok. Maybe that is a good answer.

 

Your thoughts?

 

Can it be that simple?

 

Remembering to take deeper breaths from time to time…causing some smiling…causing hormones that make me feel good?

Smile at Night Mastery Newsletter February 26, 2025

If smiling produces feel good hormones…

 

And if smiling first thing in the morning helps to set up the day…

 

And if smiling all day is a good thing…

 

Why not smile at night?

 

The subconscious mind is most suggestible in that shadow time between sleep and wakefulness.

 

That is why it is so great to insert good feelings during that time.

 

And…it is also equally suggestible last thing at night in that shadow time between being awake and falling asleep.

 

So, why not bring out the pen (if you have to), stick it twixt the teeth and smile very last thing at night. Just before heading off to the land of nod.

 

Do you suppose this might be a good idea?

 

Something to experiment with.

Smile All Day Long. Mastery Newsletter February 25, 2025

If smiling first thing in the morning helps to set up the day…

 

If smiling helps to “win the day,” what would smiling all day long do?

 

Here’s an experiment.

 

Take a pen or your finger, put it between your teeth…

 

Notice how that causes the lips to smile.

 

See how that feels.

 

Does it not feel better?

 

I am going to share a hidden secret with you…

 

A secret right out in the open…

 

Smiling causes an immediate flood of “feel good” hormones in the body.

 

Much like laughing loud and long…

 

Only silently. Smiling is like silent laughter.

 

Those feel-good hormones…the endorphins, oxytocin, dopamine and serotonin…they perk you up.

 

They release stress, some of it anyway.

 

They empower you.

 

They open you up to more of your intuition…

 

They allow more creativity…

 

They allow you to enter the “flow state.”

 

They’re just good things. They are your friends.

 

Invite them in.

 

Smiling is like you put out the welcome mat for the universal energy to enter your life.

 

What’s not to like?

 

Another hiding in plain sight secret?

 

You can smile anytime. No matter what is happening.

 

Any adverse event in life, you can choose to smile. Even if only internally.

 

We have this choice. To stay empowered no matter what outside events try to steal our joy.

 

If all else fails, keep a pen handy…

 

When something or someone wants to steal your smile, bring out the pen…

 

You can smile all day. You can stay empowered all day.

 

I am told it’s good for your overall health too…

How will your day go today?

The first few moments after you wake determines much.

 

What are your first moments like now?

 

Can that be changed?

And why would you bother?

 

To “win the day” means to “wake up on the right side of the bed.” “

 

It means to get a good start.

 

“Well begun is half done.”

 

That saying has value and power.

 

My search engine (Brave) defines it thus:

 

“The phrase “well begun is half done” means that a good start on a project or task makes it much easier to complete successfully.

 

Once you begin a project well, you do not need to exert much more effort to finish it.”

 

In those first few moments, the subconscious mind is most open to suggestion.

 

By inserting positivity into those moments, the subconscious mind sets up the day for us.

 

Makes the day “much easier to complete successfully. “

 

Do you suppose that this part may also be true:

 

“…Once you begin a project well, you do not need to exert much more effort to finish it?”

 

Could the day need less effort and flow more smoothly as a result of a good beginning?

 

Hmm..How to find out?

 

I know! Let’s experiment.

 

Do it for a week or three.

 

See how it goes.

 

Now…the devil is in the details…

 

If you say to yourself: “This is silly and stupid. Nothing so simple can work.”

 

What to do you suppose will happen?

Right. You are feeding that information to the subconscious.

 

So…just do it without the commentary.

 

Or….

 

Inject belief into it.

 

Sing it with feeling.

 

Sing what?

How about:

 

“When you’re smiling. When you’re smiling, the whole world smiles with you. When you’re laughing, the sun comes shining through.”

 

Know that song? If not, find it online.

 

And…don’t “try.” Do.

 

See what happens in one week.

 

Last night, I had a restless sleep. Woke up at three am. Finally got up at 4 am. Made some warm milk and nutmeg. Back to bed about 5.

 

Still got up in time to be in the office before 9am.

 

Much of the reason? Because I use this myself to start the day strong.

 

In previous days, I could and would have stayed in bed and started the day sluggishly and late…10 or even 11am.

INCANTATIONS: ACCESSING THE INNER SIX YEAR OLD. Mastery Newsletter February 21, 2025

Incantations work with intensity, emotion, energy and all out play.

 

Who does this naturally? Children.

 

Adults may hold back on jumping up and down yelling out:

“I am super healthy. My cells are working well.”

 

After all, I may look silly, even stupid…

 

Well, six-year-olds don’t care what they look like.

 

Don’t care if others think they must be loony.

 

Let’s take a lesson from them.

 

In fact, let’s do one better…

 

We all have that six-year-old self inside us.

 

All we have to do in order to access that self is…just do it.

 

Pretend we are still age six. Jump up and down and in a strong voice say the incantation. Chant strongly.

 

It may feel embarrassing. It may feel silly, even stupid.

 

Simple answer to that: get over it.

 

Feel the feelings and do it anyway.

 

Your future self will thank you.

 

When I first started attending Laughter Yoga sessions, they were sometimes in the park.

 

One of the principles of Laughter Yoga is accessing the playfulness of a six-year-old.

 

We do so by jumping up and yelling out: “Very good, very good, Yay!”

 

Initially, I felt awkward. After all, there were other people in the park. What would they think about these adults being silly like kids?

 

That eventually led to the realization that I way too much about what others may think.

 

This exercise has released that.

 

I still care what others think.

 

Just not very much. Hah!

 

To review. To reprogram the subconscious mind, it takes making believe.

 

Fake it till you make it.

 

The treasures of the universe are all available to us.

 

We just have to ask sincerely.

 

We have to get over ourselves…and just do it.

Incantations are the way to increase the power of affirmations.

 

While affirmations can be said softly, in a mellow voice, incantations are amped up.

A friend told me when he attends a seminar on a topic, he pays attention to what the seminar presenter is doing. More than what he may be saying.

 

When I see and hear Tony Robbins presenting, I started applying this idea.

 

Tony used incantations to get through a trying episode. He did them while running for many miles at 2 am!!!

 

He had to be somewhere for work in a matter of hours and the bus drivers were on strike.

 

Necessity, the mother of invention.

 

Tony is talking about all this and I note his tone of voice.

 

His energy level, his facial expressions, his gestures, his posture, his attitude.

 

His eye contact with me and the audience, his relentless haranguing, his passion, his dedication, his tireless output.

 

The time he takes to ensure he makes his points, his persistence.

 

Man is he persistent.

 

This tireless energy is what I need to ensure I get similar results.

 

Don’t get me wrong. I don’t fully expect to become a multi-billionaire with a global brand like Tony…although who knows? Never rule anything out.

 

What I do expect and believe is that my incantation have the best chance of succeeding if I put out all the energy at my disposal.

 

That is what incantations mean and are.

 

Imagine having won a multi million dollar lottery.

 

Heck, let’s go big, imagine you won the biggest US Lottery ever: US$2.2 Billion in 2022.

 

Feel the exhilaration, the passion, the joy, the immense sense of freedom, the thoughts of how you can help your family…

 

Feel that…then do the incantation of what you want to achieve…money, health…whatever.

 

That is how Tony does incantations.

 

Paying attention to what he does…

 

To get the results, that is the energy I want to generate, to plug into…

 

This is how to increase the voltage on my incantations…

While incantations are affirmations on steroids, what if I don’t feel it to be true?

 

I have said chant strongly, proudly that whatever you want is already here.

 

Money as an example.

 

You might create an incantation that says “I make all the money I need for my expenses and my luxuries!”

 

What if I say it and don’t really believe it?

 

I look at my income and expenses and feel like I am lying when I chant that phrase. What do I do then?

 

Think of your favourite actors, whoever they may be.

 

Meryl Streep is considered by some the best actress of her generation. She won an Oscar for portraying Margaret Thatcher.

 

She is not like Thatcher, yet she convinced us that she was.

 

How? By acting.

 

There is our clue.

 

Act as if your incantation is true. Act as if. Fake it till you make it.

 

When you act as if, inject belief into it. That is what an actor does.

 

Act as if she is another person. Feel as that person would feel.

 

What would it feel like if you made more than enough money to meet your expenses AND your luxuries.

 

What would that feel like? Imagine it. Feel it. Feel the joy and the smile knowing that you have mastered your finances.

 

Imagine taking a screen test for the role of a billionaire in a movie. The role pays a million dollars. All you have to do is convince the director that you can act as if you are a billionaire.

 

Would you pull out all the stops? Give it your all? Hold nothing back?

 

Well, the role you are stepping into can pay much more than a million dollars. A multi million dollar lottery win can be frittered away quite easily. In fact, many lottery winners do just that.

 

Why?

Because their subconscious mind does not believe they deserve it.

 

When we act as if…

 

When we convince ourselves through acting, then the subconscious mind believes it.  And brings its inexhaustible resources to make it true.

 

All we have to do is convince ourselves through acting.

 

 

Become an actor.

 

Convince the audience (you and your subconscious mind) that it is true…

 

And it becomes so.

Incantations: Action Required. Mastery Newsletter February 18, 2025

Incantations are affirmations on steroids.

 

Full blown energy injected into strong voice.

 

Focusing on an area of life we want to improve…

 

But…

 

We still need to take ACTION!

 

Without action, all is lost.

 

There may be a few folks who can visualize and chant/incant so strongly that they manifest their desires.

 

Most likely not you and I.

 

Therefore, action needed.

 

Next question: What action?

 

Let’s think it through together…

 

Assume that the subconscious mind runs the show.

 

That will power can not overpower what the subconscious mind believes to be true. The subconscious causes us to take the actions that is in line with our deeply held beliefs and programs.

 

When we consistently apply the incantation, we can change the subconscious to another belief and program.

 

The subconscious is now free to redirect our thoughts to be consistent with our new belief/program, our new sense of who we are…our new identity.

 

It does this by sending signals from the subconscious to the conscious mind.

 

Think of this like intuition.

 

We have a thought that we should/need to take a specific action.

 

Claude Bristol in his book THE MAGIC OF BELIEVING says when this happens, when we get direction to take action to meet this new goal, we need to take that action right away.

 

My lesson from this part of the book:

” Must feel and think myself successful and feel that it already is.

Wait patiently.

Solution and course of action will be revealed.

I must follow this course of action immediately, unquestioningly.

No hesitation, no mental reservation, no deliberation.

Act on it at once.

Only then will my subconscious serve me and continue to respond whenever I call on it. Obediently perform the seemingly irrelevant things.”

 

Incantations with full energy and emotion…for an extended period first thing in the morning when the subconscious is most easily influenced.

 

The other time is very last thing at night…also a good time to influence the subconscious mind.

 

Reading between the lines, does it not become obvious what we should NOT do first thing in the morning and last thing at night?

 

No outside influences that may program my mind first thing and last thing in the day.

 

Screens of all sorts…phone, tablet, laptop, TV.

 

If we allow those kinds of inputs during our most vulnerable times…

 

Well, the outside influencers are now programming our minds.

 

Who would you rather program your mind? You or TV advertisers or social media influencers?

 

I know which I choose.

The subconscious mind runs the show.

 

It is the 90% of the iceberg below the surface of the water.

 

It runs programs that have been installed in it.

 

You want proof?

 

Your heart beats. You breathe. You digest food. Those and many other functions are run by the subconscious mind.

 

Whatever we have in life is the result of the subconscious running its programs.

 

You have lots of money? Or very little?

 

You have great health? Or some afflictions?

 

Subconscious programs created our reality.

 

If so, how to instill new programs to change our reality, our situation for the better?

 

Tony Robbins showed the way: Incantations.

 

Incantations are affirmations on steroids.

 

Affirmations on steroids.

 

Why?

 

Because the subconscious mind has no access to this reality. To the reality we experience by our conscious minds and bodies.

 

It only has access to our conscious minds perceiving reality.

 

Whatever we say and do, with emotion, the subconscious mind accepts.

 

Incantations are the shortcut to reprogram the entire being.

 

You many have heard of psychosomatic illness. A person becomes obsessed with an ache or a pain. Take an example of a stomach ache. The person focuses on it. Worries about it. The emotion of worry about a condition can cause that condition to get worse.

 

In effect, we are doing incantations to enlarge the problem.

 

Can we not use the same principle in reverse?

 

“My digestive system is healthy and getting healthier every day.”

 

It has to be said with emotion. It has to be said with belief.

 

Fake it till you make it.

 

Best times? First thing in the morning and last thing at night. The most receptive times for the subconscious mind.

 

Key: You get out of anything what you put into it.

 

Just saying it is an affirmation.

 

An incantation is using all our resources. Saying it strongly. Shouting it at times. Looking at your eyes in the mirror and repeating it. Jumping up and down while repeating it. Saying it lovingly. Saying it in every way you can think of.

 

Half measures don’t cut it. Three quarter measures…just don’t measure up. Hah!

 

This is an all out, take no prisoners, accept no substitutes assault on the matter.

 

This is: Treat it like your life depends on it. In many ways, it does.

 

Getting the idea?

 

Do incantations hold the key to a better, healthier, more vibrant life?

 

To a life of abundance in all areas?

 

Physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well being?

 

A meaningful life? A life well lived?

 

A joyous life?

 

Possibly.

 

A work in progress.

 

But guess what?

 

I am having the time of my life playing with it.

Life is not about finding love.

 

Not about getting love from the outside.

 

It is more about BEING love.

 

How can I become love itself?

 

If I AM love, I don’t need to search for it.

 

I already have it because I AM love.

 

How to get there?

 

It can begin with an understanding of…

 

The Four Dimensions of Love.

Baby Love: The first dimension isn’t about loving babies—it’s about expecting love to meet all our needs. While natural for infants, many adults get stuck here, wondering why relationships feel empty.

 

Horse Trading: Tony refers to this as the unconscious, “I’ll do this if you do that” exchange. “The minute you start measuring what you’re getting,” he notes, “it’s not love anymore.”

 

Unconditional Love: At this stage, relationships become extraordinary. “You love because it’s who you are,” Sage adds, reflecting on how this shift transformed their 24-year marriage.

 

Transcendent Love: This is the highest dimension. Tony’s partner Sage reflects, “Love can look so different and so much more beautiful than the narrative or expectation we might have.” Love isn’t about fitting into predetermined boxes—it’s about allowing it to expand beyond what we thought possible.

 

Which dimension do you typically operate from?

 

Sometimes just noticing creates an opportunity to shift to the next level.

 

It’s not about judging where you are—it’s about growing into what’s possible.
