Radiation from Fukushima: Quick Two-Point Action Plan

Written by joyenergyandhealth on . Posted in Blogs, Joy, Energy and Health

How to Suck Radioactive Isotopes Out of Your Body, Your Food and Your Water

Quick 2 Point Action Plan

Only 2 action are deemed essential. Then there are other actions to support those first two, if you choose.

Governments may not be able to help us very much. Not because they don’t want to, but it may be just too much for them.

That leaves it up to us to take individual action.

The good news is:

There are things we can do to protect ourselves

Daniel Vitalis http://www.danielvitalis.com/ has 2 actions he recommends.

1)      Take regular saunas. Saunas have the power to detoxify us from radioactive isotopes and also heavy metals and other toxins.

2)      Geophagy, which is a fancy word for eating clay.

Specific clays recommended are bentonite, French Green Clay and Zeolite. All have similar qualities that cause them to bind with radioactive isotopes in the body. I take the first two and find them cost-effective.

Overview: Mix one tablespoon of the chosen clay in a glass of water. Drink it. Good on an empty stomach. Both available in health food stores.

Details here in a 16 minute video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5CRVG5liHAk

Other uses: Zeolite in the form of “Sweet PDZ” from a tack shop can be spread in the garden to pull radioactive isotopes out of your garden vegetables.

He also uses Zeolite on a toothbrush.

Pectin, Chaparral, Chlorella AND Stay Away from Sugar and Sodas

Jon Barron http://www.jonbarron.org/ recommends apple pectin. He says the herb chaparral protects against damage that radiation can do to the DNA. He also recommends chlorella. I suggest staying away from cilantro for reasons outlined in a previous blog…i.e. it is said to open up the blood brain barrier, which is not a good idea if there are heavy metals in the body. As far as iodine is concerned, it only protects against radioactive iodine entering the thyroid and then only for 48 hours.

Stay away from sugar and especially sodas. The sodas contain phosphoric acid which is the worst thing you could consume.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Foods, Herbs and Mushrooms That Can Protect

Ken Peters https://nutristart.com/radiation-iodine/  recommends a number of supplements as well as foods.

Extracts:

“Radioprotective Herbs and Mushrooms

Astragalus.

Green tea: specifically protects against side effects from gamma radiation, and is a powerful antioxidant, protecting against general free radical damage. Drink frequently.

Radioprotective Mushrooms: Reishi mushroom has been shown to prolong the life of cancer patients undergoing radiation therapy;  Cordyceps increases glutathione in the liver. Other mushrooms of value include: Maitake; Shitake; Turkey Tail (Trametes versicolor); Zhu Ling (Polyporus umbellatus)

Radioprotective Minerals

Sulfur: Sulfur prevents sulfur-35 from up-taking in the body. While not commonly available in supplement form we can use MSM (methylsulfonyl methane; 2 to 3 grams daily) which is a natural sulfur compound available in powder or pill form (it does taste quite bitter if you use the powder form). MSM is a good anti-inflammatory with additional benefits for tendons, ligaments, hair, skin and preventing allergies. Another supplemental form of sulfur is N-Acetyl-Cysteine (500mg to 1,000mg) also good for removing mucous from the body. NAC is one of the best boosters of glutathione, the internally produced antioxidant that is perhaps the most effective one for protecting against radiation. Do not take more than 1,500mg daily due to its ability to also be a pro-radical in excess.

Clay and Baking Soda

Bentonite clay and other food grade clays, especially French green clay, can attract and pull radiation from the body, when used both internally and externally. This works well because clay has a negative charge and radioactive material has a positive ionic charge. One usually takes a teaspoon of clay, mix it into water, let it settle out and drink the cloudy water while leaving the sediment behind. One can work up to a teaspoon three times per day for more intense purposes. Ingesting clay should be done on an empty stomach (half hour before or an hour after eating). Clays have also proved helpful for removing heavy metals, purifying the intestinal tract and alkalizing the body.

Externally clay can be added to a bath (1 cup) for decontamination purposes. Another decontamination bath is comprised of sea salt (1 lb or 1 cup) and baking soda (1 lb or 1 cup) in a warm bath, soak for at least 20 minutes and rinse off with cool water. When used alone for bathing the amount of baking soda used varies from 1 to 3 pounds per bath, depending on severity of exposure.

Baking soda can also be used internally and is recommended by the army for those exposed to radiation. Baking soda taken orally can reduce the damage that uranium causes to the kidneys. About 1/8th to ½ a teaspoon of baking soda in water three times daily.”

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Commentators are saying to reduce the consumption of foods high up on the food chain, i.e. meat and dairy products. But here may be a way to have your meat and eat it too.

Reduce Radiation in Your Produce

Calcium Bentonite Clay has a uniquely strong negative ionic charge. When activated with water it works like a strong magnet, adsorbing and absorbing anything with a positive ionic charge (i.e., toxins, pesticides, radiation). The clay captures these substances and removes them as the clay is eliminated or washed off.

To remove radiation from your produce, Perry A. Arledge, author of ‘Living Clay, Nature’s Own Miracle Cure,’ recommends starting with liquid clay. This is Calcium Bentonite Clay mixed with water at a ratio of 1 part clay to 8 parts water. In a large non-metallic bowl, mix 1/4 cup of liquid clay with 1 quart of water. Toss your fruits or vegetables in this clay water making sure they’re completely covered and let them sit for about 10 minutes. Rinse and dry them, and store them as you normally would.

You can add Calcium Bentonite Clay to your milk and drinking water if you’re concerned about the possibility of contamination there as well. Add approximately 1 ounce of liquid Calcium Bentonite Clay to a gallon of organic raw milk or water. Some people prefer to let the clay settle to the bottom of the liquid and discard that portion, while others prefer to shake it up and drink them together. Either is fine. Once a contaminant is ‘caught’ by the clay it will not be released, and the clay cannot be digested by your body. All contaminants adsorbed by the clay will be removed upon elimination. And it’s always a good practice to take one to two ounces of liquid Calcium Bentonite Clay twice a day, to keep your body detoxed.” http://www.forbiddenknowledgetv.com/videos/radiation-poisoning/minerals-that-remove-radiation-from-your-bodyzeolite-bentonite–french-green-clay.html

Filtering Our Water

International Medical Veritas Association http://imva.info/ recommends reverse osmosis for getting radioactive isotopes out of your drinking water:

“US Government Approved

It is rare indeed when I agree with the American government on anything. Reverse-osmosis water filtration systems will remove fallout contamination, according to the United States government. Dr. Roy Speiser also agrees with the government saying, “To protect your drinking water from radioactive contaminants the best filtration equipment solution is reverse osmosis. It should be noted that many water supplies in the United States are already contaminated by naturally-occurring radioactivity including: uranium, strontium, radium 226, 228, alpha and beta particles. The levels of these radioactive contaminants are usually below the maximum concentration level (MCL) allowed by the government, but long-term ingestion… even at low levels… may not be safe.”

According to the EPA, the following treatment method(s) have proven to be effective in removing radionuclides at levels below their MCLs:

Beta Particle and Photon Radiation: ion exchange and reverse osmosis;

(Gross) Alpha Emitters: reverse osmosis;

Radium 226 and Radium 228 (combined): ion exchange, reverse osmosis, lime softening;

Uranium: Ion exchange, reverse osmosis, lime softening, coagulation/filtration.

This more complete system below costs 249 dollars. This same company offers a wide variety of reverse osmosis systems that take one all the way up to over 500 dollars if one is looking for super state-of-the-art systems for professional use.”

http://crystalquest.com/ IMVA says the $249 one is all one needs.

There you have it. Lots of material. Best not to get overwhelmed.

Overwhelm is an emotion closely linked to fear.

Remember again, action is the antidote to fear.

If all you do is the first two actions, saunas and clays, you will in all likelihood be ahead of 90% of the population if not 99%.

Does being careful of everything we eat make any difference?

One of my correspondents wondered if watching our food intake makes any difference. Here is what she said:

Sometimes I wonder, Matti…….

My family has a history of longevity.   The only thing I could find in common with them was that none of them did any exercise.  🙂

They ate daily in a way we would not consider to be healthy…..always meat, gravy, spuds, a token vegetable-overcooked, desserts and cookies/cake for morning coffee and afternoon tea and bedtime snacks.  My mom never served salads until long after I’d grown up and left home.

So? Does being careful of everything we eat make any difference?

R. made her transition a couple of days ago.  Today she would have been 98 years old.

She’s in my extended family, grandmother of my brother’s kids through their mother so I didn’t inherit any of her genes.

She was much loved….always upbeat, optimistic, never ever critical, always supportive and she made us feel good just to be with her. She is proof that optimists live longer !

Many of my own family liked to look at the bright side rather than the negative but some who were negative thinkers lived into their 90’s.

I don’t see an answer.  Does it really matter what we eat?  My people didn’t take vitamins and supplements.  There’s no history of Alzheimer’s/dementia. I need to knock off the weight I gained since moving here a couple of years ago but “eat less” works as well as any rigid eating program.

I wonder if worrying about what you eat is worse than just eating what you like…(within reason).?????

I begin to think that other factors are more important….like close families, a sense of community, lots of hugs….feeling connected.

🙂

Whew. Lots of issues brought up there.

Yes, I think we all know of folks who ate whatever they wanted, some even smoked all their lives and still lived to a “ripe old age” as the saying goes.

Even your link of optimism would not make sense as some of your “negative thinking” relatives also were long lived.

Your final thoughts have much to recommend them. “Close families, a sense of community, lots of hugs, feeling connected.” The Blue Zones book talked about four different societies where all of these had a positive effect on health and longevity.

There is definitely more to a healthy life than a good diet and exercise. I recently found some studies into community dating back as far as the 1800s that showed a positive effect on health. Hugs have been shown to produce oxycontin, a hormone that helps us to feel good and feel connected.

It may well be that living in joy, laughing often and playing may trump diet and supplements. Recently a TV news report of a 71 year old man entitled “Never Leave the Playground” showed how he had improved the markers of aging by playing all day. Riding his elliptical bicycle, juggling, walking a tightrope and many other activities were featured in the report. He said his memory was sharper than ever as a result.

In Laughter Yoga, we have started to expand to the four elements of joy, laughing, singing, dancing and child-like play. I sense that we can’t go wrong by including some of each of those into a daily routine.

Further, I am reminded that in many shamanic societies, if you came to a shaman or medicine person complaining of being disheartened, dispirited, or depressed, they would ask one of four questions.

When did you stop dancing?

When did you stop singing?

When did you stop being enchanted by stories?

When did you stop finding comfort in the sweet territory of silence?

Where we have stopped dancing, singing, being enchanted by stories, or finding comfort in silence is where we have experienced the loss of soul.

Dancing, singing, storytelling, and silence are considered four universal healing salves.

Two other points to make and that is that our parents and grandparents lived in a time when food was not as adulterated as it is now. Low levels of antibiotics and growth hormones may find their way into our meat and dairy products. Much of what passes for food in the supermarket some call “junk” food. Most of that was not available to our forebears. (I don’t call it junk food. To me, it is either food or it is junk, i.e. toxic poison.)

So, much greater care is needed to ensure that we are, in fact, eating food and not poison. Your parents may have eaten spuds, but I will bet their consumption of potato chips was negligible.

Further, with the degradation of the soil over the past century, the nutrient value of food is said by many researchers to be negligible. “Nutrient dense” food is the next issue to deal with after we eliminate “junk” food. Then we get into the whole issue of additives. In the 1950s, a handful of food additives were allowed to be added to food. Today, it is estimated there are 50,000 !!! chemicals that are allowed to be added to our food supply.

My friend Dr. Terry Willard estimates that the average North American takes in 10% of their bodyweight in pure chemicals annually. I can’t believe we can easily adapt to that quick a change. (There is evidence to suggest we have not yet adapted to grains, which were introduced 10,000 years ago.)

Whether to supplement? This is becoming stickier as there is a thought that with Codex Alimentarius, many of our vitamins and other supplements may well be taken off the market. A long term plan to move toward nutrient dense food may be all that is left if supplements bite the dust.

Finally, as for worrying, you are definitely right about that. I myself can confess to being a perpetual worrywart about food. When I had hepatitis after foolishly drinking untreated water from Lake Atitlan in Guatemala, I was dining with a new friend at a vegetarian restaurant in Panajachel. When I mentioned that I really ought not to be having olive oil, he quickly retorted: “Don’t hex your food.”

Only years later did I understand the vital importance of blessing our food and eating it with gratitude and reverence. It could well be that even low quality food can transmute itself into wonderful health in our body when we bless it all.

Re Weight Loss (Capitalized, as it is such a common goal in western society): If eating less and exercising more worked, no one would have a weight issue.

The whole “calories in-calories out” theory was blown out of the water by author Tim Ferris in his book The Four Hour Body. Eat a cookie, walk up 27 flights of stairs to work it off is what Ferris calls “Parking lot science.” It’s convenient to think that way, but it does not work. He proved it by gaining 34 pounds in muscle, losing 3 pounds of fat in 28 days. Impossible, said the so called experts. Yet, his entire experiment was recorded by Dr. Peggy Plato, director of Sports and Fitness Evaluation Program at San Jose State University.

So, forget trying to lose fat by limiting food and adding some exercise.

(Did you notice I changed “losing weight” to “losing fat?” Building muscle is critical to fat loss as increased muscle density means you are burning fast even as you sleep. Muscles weigh more than fat, so you may actually gain weight while losing fat and getting healthier.)

Making weight loss a goal is a losing proposition. Instead, I suggest it is far wiser to focus on getting healthier. As we discover the practices that increase our health, fat loss can become an automatic by-product. Far better approach.

(There are examples of those who chose weight loss as a goal, achieved the goal…and died. We had an example here in my home town of Victoria. It was covered extensively in our local newspaper, the Times-Colonist.)

The basics of fat loss are covered in my 108 Tips for More Joy, Energy and Health. You can get it here as a free email course: http://joyenergyandhealth.com/

Two steps anyone can take right away are:

1)     Cut out all wheat, and

2)     Do the “Sugar Fix” program.

See Wheat Belly and The Sugar Fix.

The purpose of life is to be happy, according to the Dalai Lama. I suspect that anything that adds to our happiness is to be supported and anything that detracts from it to be avoided. If we bless our food and our preparation of it and gathering of it we go a long way to supporting our physical health and awareness.

Mindfulness, awareness and paying increasing attention to our intuition may well be the major keys, not just to food choice and preparation, but to our unfolding into our greater selves.

Enjoy the rest of the read,

Matti

Is Cyprus the “canary in the gold mine?”

George Orwell taught us how to interpret what those in government say. Flip it 180 degrees. eg, the Ministry of Peace is really the Ministry of War, the Ministry of Health is really the Ministry of Disease and so on.

With that in mind, just flip the statements in this story. Remember: “The warrior is never available. Never is he standing on the street waiting to be clobbered.” -Robert S. deRopp.
